There are some people you meet throughout life’s journey who you feel truly humbled to know.  Tim Royall is one of those people.

Tim Royall and Benjamin Clark

Tim Toyall and me – at his workshop in Nelson.

Originally hailing from the UK, Tim is one of New Zealand’s most revered sculptors.  He specialises in in stone carving, working primarily with marble, using stone sourced locally, and overseas.

Tim’s works are truly exquisite, and the sheer skill and workmanship of each work is impeccable.

He works on a commission basis, for super yachts, organisations, and home owners who would like a bespoke sculpture or magnificent ornamental piece.

Tim brings a concept to life with a sketch.

Works can also be viewed at his exhibitions.  He has one coming up at The Remuera Gallery in Auckland.  If you’re in the vicinity, I highly recommend stopping by.

I popped into his workshop the other day – I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed the visit.
