Recently I’ve been developing a bit of a fondness for composers in the Romantic era – well, one in particular actually.
If you haven’t heard Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns, here’s a fantastic live version that will have the hair standing up on the back of your neck.
Inspired by all this classical and romantic-ness I wanted to create something reflecting the beauty music of music from this era (or eras, as it were).
The Sonata Brooch is the idea that transpired.
Hand crafted in sterling silver with 9ct yellow gold buttons, it is the first brooch I have made for Benjamin Black Goldsmiths.
